The tracks cross each other here between beechwood and dunville avenues. Wonder why that is. In the days of the harcourt street line, the ranelagh and rathmines station used to be located around here, on an embankment above street level. The old bridge ran quite low over the road so when the luas was being constructed they decided a level crossing would be a better idea, with todays traffic volumes. Hence the line slopes down very sharply here. |
